Domestic Migration Patterns and Their Impact on Transportation Congestion in the Philippines

Julliand Caleb B. Da Jose, Francis Lee Y. Martinez

Department of Economics and Public Policy, San Beda University

An OLS study of migration, growth and congestion in the National Capital Region from 2012 to 2018, building a Transport Congestion Index from vehicle density, accident rates and average daily traffic. Cumulative migration and regional GDP growth raise congestion — arguing that infrastructure must answer cumulative structural demand, not just annual population increases.

A Proposed Conceptual Framework for the One Stop Shop for the Jobseekers of Caloocan City – South

Francis Lee Y. Martinez

Department of Economics and Public Policy, San Beda University

A decentralised service-delivery framework for the estimated 7,000 jobseekers of Caloocan City – South, who must currently visit SSS, NBI, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR and PSA separately. Draws on the city’s six years of Business One Stop Shop experience to argue the model can be extended to pre-employment requirements.

Leadership and Communication Strategies: A Case Study During the Covid-19 Transition on Public-Facing Communications within the Department of Education

Francis Lee Martinez, Dennis Mangubat

International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research, Vol. 6 No. 3

Survey and interview evidence on how public school teachers rate DepEd’s official issuances — the documents that anchor their own public-facing communication. Communication flow on initiatives and community projects performs satisfactorily; teacher-support communication does not, and the study proposes a feedback mechanism built around teacher perspectives.
